Transforming Age

Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, Transforming Age is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the perception of aging and improving life for older adults and society. The organization views aging as an opportunity to continue leading an independent and purposeful life, and applies this perspective to develop innovative housing, technology solutions, and programs for older adults. With more than 200 team members, Transforming Age and its affiliated organizations serve over 14,000 people nationwide, operating 48 communities across nine states that include continuing care retirement communities, independent and assisted living options, and low-income affordable housing. The organization also supports thousands of low-income clients through homecare, adult day health, and other community-based services, with its mission further strengthened by hundreds of volunteers and the Transforming Age Foundation.
