Shawnee Health Service is a comprehensive, coordinated network of community health centers and services located throughout Jackson and Williamson Counties in southern Illinois. Founded in 1971 and headquartered at 109 California Street, Carterville, Illinois, the organization operates within the Hospitals and Health Care industry and employs more than 220 people. Shawnee provides integrated primary medical and behavioral health care, including addiction medicine, counseling, family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, pharmacy, and same-day services, alongside nutrition and dietary counseling, OB/GYN care, weight management, and general and pediatric dentistry. The organization's team includes nine medical providers, seven dentists, and sixteen mid-level providers. Since its founding, Shawnee Health Service and Development Corporation has fostered the growth of health and social services across southern Illinois.
