Epson Portland Inc. (EPI), founded in 1985 and headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, is the United States manufacturing subsidiary of Japan's Seiko Epson Corporation, operating within the appliances, electrical, and electronics manufacturing industry. Its Hillsboro facility uses proprietary Epson robotics to manufacture ink cartridges and ink for Epson inkjet printers, perform precision injection molding of proprietary plastic parts, and deliver specialized engineering services. The company's Longview, Washington location produces synthetic quartz crystals for Epson's Micro-Device Division, supplying electronic products manufactured by Epson affiliates worldwide. Together with other U.S. Epson affiliates such as Epson America, Inc. and Epson Electronics America, Inc., EPI supports the marketing, sales, and distribution of Epson products across the Americas. EPI employs more than 120 people and holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
